Checklist for After the Office Move
You've finally arrived in your new office, and whilst there's bound to be things that still need to be moved around or put right, you can at least say that the worst is definately over!
An office move is a great advancement for any company; with a new environment, new location, new neighbors and even new working methods and processes. Companies should use this fresh start as an opportunity to review office suppliers, vendors and service providers to ensure you are getting:
- the most cost-effective terms that save your business money
- the most advantageous contract terms that give your business the service-standard your business deserves
- maximum business efficiency that enables your business to operate effectively using technology solutions that speed up your business' processes
This Checklist can be used after your office move to help you fulfill all these areas:
- Dig out all your supplier contracts to establish overall costs and length of contracts
- Decide which areas of your business need improving and prioritize accordingly
- If you need to switch office suppliers and vendors because you have moved to a different City or State ask for recommendations from other tenants who share your building or reside close by
- If you need office cleaners or janitorial services, consider sharing the cost with tenants who share your building to save on costs
- Are there areas which will enhance the visual appeal of your new office (i.e. office artwork, office plants etc.)
- Don't forget your new office contents insurance, or update your existing office contents insurance accordingly
