How to Design an Office
It's not necessarily the size of the office space, it's what you do with it that counts. There are plenty of benefits to a great office design, and whilst it's important to be smart about reducing clutter and maximizing storage, a well-planned office space can help increase productivity, affect your bottom line and keep your staff happy.
Your office design needs to affect your organizational structure and enhance internal communication with one another and between teams. Make sure that the space incorporates everyone so that the employees feel like they're getting vested in the company. An open plan office space not only accommodates greater flexibility and productivity, but researchers have found that they also increase the exchange of information, and help to improve levels of job satisfaction.
A good office design also needs to reflect a company's culture too, and portray the right image that the company wants to represent. The office you occupy says so much about you as a company to the outside world and creates that all-important first impression. Even if you don't have a lot of clients come to visit, you still need to retain and attract the right staff.
You don't have to spend mega bucks to create the office design, in fact often it's the little things that make a big difference. Like a decent coffee machine, some office art on the walls and fresh flowers to welcome visitors. Those little things go a long way.
