Receptionists desk - consider what workstation equipment they will need to carry out their duties; they may also need access to a printer and pedestal storage space.
Ensure the lobby area is easily accessible and comfortable for visitors whilst they are sat waiting. Make best use of wall space with effective office art, or display brand messages/mission statements so that visitors get a positive impression about the company they are dealing with.
Try to incorporate soothing and cool tones in your lobby color scheme as these will help portray or a relaxed, professional and organized impression.Provide daily newspapers, industry related magazines, or a press release book about your organization to give visitors something to read whilst they are waiting.
If you have enough space, you might want to consider a touch-down desk for clients to check email or recharge their laptops or phones. Avoid clutter at all costs in lobby areas as this gives the impression of a disorganized business. Wherever possible, your lobby area should be a good open space that is transparent, where visitors have a clear point of contact and feel welcomed.
