Office Moving Last Minute Checklist
As your office moving day fast approaches, you'll want to make sure all those important tasks have been ticked off your Office Moving Checklist so you can relax knowing that your office moving day has less chance of any hitches.
Here's some last minute tasks that should be carried out prior to your office moving day:
Keys
Arrange for collection of your current office keys from staff in exchange of the keys to the new office.
Maps / Directions
Are all staff clear about where the new office is located? Email round maps if necessary and finalize the time and date they expected to turn up to the new office to resume work.
Vacating / Check-out of existing Office
Have you arranged for your existing office to be cleaned and have all dilapidations taken place in accordance with your office lease? You will then need to make arrangements with your landlord (or their Tenant Rep) to inspect the premises and handover the keys.
Power
Have you arranged for shutdown/closure of all utilities after post-move and transferred services to the new office. Remember that your power needs to be switched on BEFORE you move in so that business can resume quickly when you get to the new office.
Emergency Contact List
Print out a list of key contacts (electricians, ISP, lift engineers, building managers, telecom vendor) and anyone whom you may need to contact in the event of a problem getting your business back up and running.
