It's the last week in your existing office and you're almost there - but the countdown (and the pressure!) is most definitely on.
At this stage, you'll want to make sure everything is being taken care of before you handover to the capable hands of your Office Moving Company.
To help eliminate any headaches and avoid last minute panics, we've put together a handy Last minute Checklist so you can relax knowing you've got those small, yet important jobs, that often get forgotten in the countdown to your office move.
Day 7: Send a Change of Address Letter to customers, suppliers & organizations informing them of your new contact details.
Day 6: Think phone lines! You need the phones working in your new office so double check your phone line extensions are in place and if you're changing your phone number - be sure to check it's working.
Day 5: Arrange security & access for your Office Moving Company in both locations.
Day 4: Place copies of the new floor plan in the new office and on the Notice Board of your existing office. This way, all staff members will know what to expect in the new office and can locate their new workstations on the first morning.
Day 3: Arrange for your existing office to be cleaned so the handover to your Landlord is carried out quickly and without any dispute.
Day 2: Distribute new key cards and entrance permits to all staff. Get them to sign for them so you can keep track of who hasn't yet received one.
Day 1: Print a list of key contacts of all your Office Relocation Professionals, telecom suppliers and security in case you urgently need to get hold of anyone during the move.
